Sustainability

Considering the impact and consequences that industrialization and the development of the country have caused to the environment, the company works in partnership with its employees in actions aimed at sustainability.

Since 2014, the company has been represented and linked to the "Prolata" program, a nationwide project for reverse logistics of steel packaging, with special attention to paint packaging. Coordinated by the entity Prolata Reciclagem, the initiative is the result of an active partnership between Abrafati (Brazilian Association of Paint Manufacturers) and Abeaço (Brazilian Association of Steel Packaging).

100%

of the solid waste generated in our operation follows a sustainable destination: non-contaminated materials – plastics and paper – are sent for recycling in certified companies, while contaminated materials and plastic polymers are sent for co-processing in cement industries.

10.08 tons

were recycled in 2023, an increase from 0.8% the previous year. Metal packaging from shipping damages, customer returns and transport problems are sent for recycling.

100%

of industrial cleaning water is reused as a new raw material. This process uses a closed-loop technology, which makes the water suitable for responsible and efficient use, as it does not generate liquid effluents for the environment.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Our actions are designed daily for community development, environmental awareness and the strengthening of ties with our employees, their families and the community where we are present.

All activities promoted daily by Dakar are planned with attention to the impact and needs of the local community, as well as the promotion of diversity and the preservation of the environment.

We support social projects through donations made through the Rouanet Law and the Fund for Childhood and Adolescence.
